How To Apply Maskcara
The EASIEST way to apply Maskcara is to do in a paint by numbers style. Simply apply the right colors to the right sections, and then at the end you will blend it to perfection! So don't worry too much about applying it perfectly at first, slap it on there, play around, and at the end we will smooth it all out!
With a fresh, clean face, the first step to apply Maskcara is the Highlighting! This is the lighter of the two skin tones you should have in your compact. It should be a shade or two lighter than your natural shade, so don't panic!
Your highlight color will go under your eyes, bottom of your forehead, in between your cheekbone and jaw line, under and around your nose, and on your chin!
This shade is going to be probably 3-5 shades darker than your skin tone, so again, don't panic. The magic of Maskcara is the in between your highlight and contour shade, is your natural shade.
Your contour will go on the top of your forehead along your hairline, down the sides of your nose, from the middle of your ear to the middle of your cheek, and along your jawline.
The blushes are my favorite part! You can dress your look up or down depending on which blush you have. You should probably get at least 2 or 3 blushes in your compact at some point so you have some options. You can also layer the blushes to create unique colors.
Apply your blush just above your contour line near your cheekbone. You can apply it in a little circle on the apples of your cheeks, or in a paralell line with your contour line.
Alrighty! The blending is where the magic happens. Make sure you have the 3D perfector beauty blender, soak it in water for 30 seconds and then ring it out so it is a little damp. This is the PERFECT tool for perfecting your Maskcara 3D foundation, hence calling it the 3D perfector. ;)
There are a few ways you can do this step. The first is slowly dabbing it on the areas that need blending and gently rolling it off. My preferred way is to spray it lightly with the Setting Spray and then dabbing it all over for extra stay power and blending goodness!
Illuminator!!! Time to shine! Illuminator is a very subtle shimmer added to the tops of your cheeks to add a little more 3D flare to your gorgeous self. You will LOVE it, I promise.
Rub your ring finger in your illuminator and gently pat it on the top of your cheekbones.
Add your favorite mascara, run some of your blush on your lips and girl, you are ready to get out there!
